Hear From Our Happy Travelers

Nothing speaks louder than the experiences of those who have explored Switzerland with me. Read what past guests have to say about their unforgettable journeys, personalized itineraries, and the magic of discovering Switzerland like a local.

A highlight of my family's trip to Zurich was our visit to Lucerne and Mt. Pilatus with Paul as our guide. The scenery was spectacular—photos can't adequately capture the scale and grandeur of the place.

Paul brings a local's knowledge, having lived in the area for years, but he is a recent enough transplant to still see its beauty through the eyes of a traveler. His advice and recommendations were spot on, from the best views to the best restaurants.

I highly recommend this tour and Paul's guide service!

We met Paul at our hotel, where he kindly asked if we needed any help planning our five-day stay in Zurich. One of his suggestions was to take a boat ride to Rapperswil, which turned out to be an absolutely amazing day. Thank you for that, Paul!

The next day, Paul picked the three of us up in his BMW SUV, and off we went on a spectacular adventure. We enjoyed a beautiful scenic drive to Lucerne and Mt. Pilatus for the day—wow, what a day! (Paul Koch is the best!) He took us on a long gondola ride up the mountain, having already purchased the tickets for us so we didn’t have to stand in line. The ride offered breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne, the Alps, and the stunning surrounding countryside. Once at the top, we took a short hike from the gondola to the ridge, where we found fantastic viewing points, a gift shop, and a cozy coffee shop.

After descending back down the mountain to Lake Lucerne, we strolled through the charming village and stopped for a delicious, classic German lunch at The Rathaus Brauerei—where Paul knew the staff, making the experience even more special. We then walked across the famous Chapel Bridge and Spreuer Bridge, visited the stunning Jesuit Church, and explored more fantastic local shops. Our day concluded at the Lion Monument (Dying Lion of Lucerne, 1821), which was an incredibly moving sight to see.

To top it all off, Paul recommended a fabulous restaurant just a few minutes' walk from our hotel, and it was absolutely perfect. He even joined us for dessert and then walked with us back, making sure we had the chance to check out a couple of other sites we had been wanting to see—particularly Café Voltaire.

Paul is an absolute delight to be with and a truly wonderful tour guide. We can’t wait to return and have him show us even more. Thank you, Paul! Xoxo
